The Last Mile

Dial Up versus Fiber-optics

Our brain and body have their version of the last mile like the internet. The last mile of your internet connection to our homes will depend on a number of different last mile connectors. Sometimes this last mile of your internet connection is by slow Dial Up versus faster cable modem versus very, very fast fiberoptics.

All the connections of our different bodily functions require this final connection to complete an action for our bodies to function. This last mile in our bodies will most often require a neurotransmitter to complete the desired functions and outcomes.

Since 1992 we have known that the Endocannabinoid system (ECS) plays a major role and part in this concept of the last mile. The ECS is a balancing system that makes sure the neurotransmission system is in balance for quick and predicted outcomes. This ECS system works in a retrograde fashion in promoting or blocking the activation or the cessation of a last mile connection via our body’s neurotransmitters.

Serotonin is one of those all-important neurotransmitters. Serotonin is involved in emotion regulation, stress, anxiety and mood. Science and pharmacokinetics have used this knowledge for years in making drugs for public consumption. Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) are a class of antidepressants that also work by altering serotonin levels in the brain by altering the last mile.

This 1988 discovery of a drug call Prozac led to an entirely new generation of neurotransmitters-specific antidepressants.

In 1988, the ECS concept was not fully developed. But our ECS was at work, we did know or understand our natural last mile which is plant-based versus pharm- based. But now we do know that the CB1 and CB2 receptors of the ECS play a central role in plant medicine.

Serotonin is still a key player in this last mile concept. What we learned from the pharmacology world was they often use the cyclooxygenase pathway instead of the ECS to affect serotonin.
Yes, CBD can be your DSL for your last mile but CBD-A can affect 100 to 1000 more serotonin receptors giving you a Laser Smile. You will find our 2Path is one-half VitaminCBD and one-half VitaminCBD-A to capture the maximum numbers of serotonin receptors which can increase our mood and decrease our anxiety. Now, you can walk the last mile in my shoes in taking a Daily Dose of Wellness.

Please and thank you.
