Is Your Health at Risk

Has Your Health Provider Explained the ECS?

The Endocannabinoid System (ECS) was not fully discovered until 1992 and those bright-eyed practitioners like me were approaching twenty years in medical practice since the 1970 prohibition on Cannabis sativa L made this subject a ‘persona non grata’ in the halls of medical education.

Those bright-eyed young practitioners like me who have been in medicine for 30 or more years have had to go from twice a day news cycle on three TV channels to hundreds of cable and news outlets 24/7 in this new data driven world.

I would say yes—your personal health is at risk if you “don’t know what you don’t know”. You have to be living in a cave if you have not heard about CBD and the rage around this age-old plant and its renaissance—more about that later! And, yes, we have a lot of providers that do live in the “educational medical cave” of their youth. Doctors too “don’t know what they don’t know,” because it has never been taught in medical school until recently.

Now this brings us back to CBD. In my world, and hopefully yours, CBD would be designated as VitaminCBD™.  I named this cannabinoid the first vitamin of the ECS.  As previously stated, ECS is short for the Endocannabinoid System of our bodies.  This biological system is in all mammals but was not discovered as part of our human biological system until 1992.  And note, as of an academic study done in 2018, 87% of medical schools still did not teach or study this known biological system.  Why?

Here is my mission—and hopefully yours—that we can teach about the global research and my personal sojourn of this ECS system and its need for essential vitamin supplementation. Wewill learn that we can all approach a better lifestyle in wellness,as it is the future, and the future is NOW!
